Laptop Sleeves & Covert Pockets! Great add-ons to your YNOT bag!

August 14, 2014

First off,  a huge thanks for all the support we've received so far! The feedback and interest has been great, and we're so excited to be on track towards reaching our goal! Secondly, we thought we'd share some fun and useful extra features to add on to your Pan-yay!, Kassi, or Portage!

Swoop Laptop Sleeves, are removable padded sleeves that can be quickly inserted into many YNOT bags -  including our awesome new Pannier Line available on Kickstarter: the Pan-yay, the Kassi and the Portage (remember the Annex already has a built in laptop sleeve). The sleeves fit laptops with as big as 15” screens. They have a secure velcro closure, and two external pockets - ideal for cords and chargers. By adding a laptop sleeve, you can quickly transform your bag from touring the countryside to commuting to work.

Next up is the Covert Pocket, A removable zippered pocket, that fits securely between the separated liner, and the exterior of your of your Pan-yay. A great way to secure your essentials within your bag with a heavy duty coil zipper. These accessories are made with the same heavy duty materials as the bags themselves. Both water repellent and durable!

Introducing The Portage! A rack-mounted shoulder bag on Kickstarter!

August 12, 2014

Don’t want the look of a traditional pannier? Introducing the Portage! A bag with a clean aesthetic, and increased carrying capacity. Just like the Annex, The Portage shares an adjustable flap closure, internal zippered pocket and the ability to hide your rack hardware away for off-bike use. It's lined with 420D Daimond Ripstop with a water repellent backing. It's also compatible with removable swoop laptop sleeves, allowing you to take your computer easily on the go!

Grab your own Portage as a backer reward on our Pan-Yay Kickstarter Campaign, and help us make our new pannier line available for everyone!

Check out the NEW Kassi on Kickstarter!

August 10, 2014

In addition to our new and imporved Pan-yay design, we decided that the Kassi needed an update! A great day bag, the Kassi is a versatile tote that’s great on or off your bike. Now, using the same the same easily adjustable hardware as our new Pan-yay, The Kassi quickly attaches to your bike. Tuck the straps away when you ride, or easily hide the hardware away for off-bike use. The Kassi now also comes with a 420D Diamond Ripstop Liner, adding extra water repellent features to the bag! It's also compatible with removable swoop laptop sleeves, allowing you to take your computer easily on the go!

Grab your own Kassi, and help us make this new and improved version available for everyone by checking out our Kickstarter Campaign

A rack-mounted Annex Laptop Bag now available on Kickstarter!

August 08, 2014

The Annex  has been a staple YNOT bag for a while now. This laptop bag has an built-in padded sleeve for your computer, and two extra pockets for cords and chargers. A zippered details pocket keeps your small gear secure. While it’s flap closure with two adjustable compression pulls allows the bag to suit various sized loads. While the Annex works great as a shoulder bag, we thought it would be great for it to also work as a pannier.

Now available through our Pan-Yay Kickstarter campaign, the rack-mounted The Annex uses the same easily adjustable hardware as our new and improved Pan-Yay & Kassi designs, simply attaching to virtually any bicycle rack. The hardware also easily hides away into a sleek pocket, when you get off your bike and don't want the look or feel of pannier hardware.

Check out our Kickstarter Campaign to grab a new rack-mounted Annex of your own, and help make our new pannier line of bags available for everyone by becoming a backer!

Check out the NEW & improved Pan-Yay on Kickstarter!

August 06, 2014

Thanks to some amazing support we received on kickstarter, we launched some great new camera accessories back in May and all of our backers have their Stowaway camera bag and Backlash camera strap in hand. Now we’re back with another great project, and we need your help!

One year ago we released our first bicycle pannier / saddle bag. We were striving for a design that had the same aesthetic and durability as our other messenger bags and backpacks - but instead offered the benefits of being a rack mounted bag, and we came up with The Pan-Yay! A solid design that's highly functional, yet simple in style. Over the past year we’ve been testing and tweaking this bag, trying to make it the best one on the market.  And we think we’ve come close, but during that process we did realize that something was lacking. While the bag itself works great, the initial mounting hardware we’d been using is limiting and doesn’t work with every rack. We love the diversity of our riders, so it’s important to us that the bag work as many racks as possible, easily attaching and detaching from any bike.

The pan-yay is an expanding roll-top bag, designed to suit various sized loads. The floating separated liner improves water resistance, with no shared seams at the base of the bag. You can put dirty clothes or tools between the layers, protecting the contents of your bag. Reflective accents helps you stay visible at night. While the high density polyethylene backplate gives the bag a solid structure. When you reach your destination, quickly attach the adjustable shoulder strap, and bring your bag with you on foot.

Our new adjustable bracket hardware, works with racks as thick as 16mm or ⅝” of an inch. You can easily slide the clamps side to side to get around any obstacle.  This hardware quickly mounts and dismounts to and from your rack, keeping you on the go, both on and off your bike.

Changing to this new hardware will require a significant investment, and that’s why we need you. Your support will help us order our first batch of new hardware and other materials to launch these new products. Check out our Kickstarter Campaign to learn more about this project, and all the many great rewards we have available to backers! Stay tuned for more detailed breakdowns of all the other new bags in our Pannier line coming soon!
