Tony Mammoliti

Director of Design/Owner

Bike lover, design junkie. Born and raised in downtown Toronto, Tony could not find the kind of urban cycling products he was looking for. A diehard do-it-yourself type, he stopped complaining and started designing and making the bike gear he felt was missing in the industry. Not long after founding YNOT Cycle, he quit his corporate marketing job and has not looked back. Tony is the Director of Design and Owner of YNOT Cycle and gets to do his dream job everyday.

Laura Mensinga

Design/Graphics/Video

Toronto-based illustrator with a background in fashion design, Laura is a founding member of the all-girl bike gang/design collective The Deadly Nightshades. When not creating for YNOT, she is an active part of both the local & international arts community, having exhibited her work in various events including The Bicycle Film Festival, Germany’s ICFF & ARTCRANK Interbike among others.

Christina Mathew

Design/Production

An industrial designer, born in India and brought up in the Middle East, Christina now considers Toronto home. With a passion for beautiful design and all things innovative, she brings a new perspective to the growing YNOT production & design team.

Steven Jensen

Seattle, Washington/Arizona

Steven’s technical wizardry is in a world all its own. Every edit he puts out pushes everyone’s understanding of what is possible on a fixed gear bike. He was the first to bring tailwhips to FGFS and his grind combos are untouched by anyone else. His ‘steeze’ is awed at and often imitated but never ever duplicated!

Ed "Wonka" LaForte

San Jose, California

A proud product of the streets of NYC, now living in and destroying California. His signature huge yet technical style is unmatched. He was the first to really attack handrails on a fixed gear and is still the one doing it the best.

Matt Reyes

San Francisco, California

Also commonly known as Slumworm, Matt has made a name for himself with his diverse style of intricate technicality mixed with boosted and tucked airs and spins. He’s adept behind the bars or behind the mouse churning out slick edits and photos for his blog Wheel Talk Fixed.

Kenny Arimoto

California

Kenny goes hard and commits, to say the very least. His riding shows that he puts every ounce of himself into his tricks.Part owner of upstart California bike company Destroy bikes, he walks the walk in many different ways.

Matt Montoya

California

Matt Montoya has been quietly pushing the sport in several directions with every edit he puts out. His bike control and crazy fakie skills put his riding in its own category. His smile is contagious and his riding is inspiring!

Sungwoo "SWOO" Kim

Vancouver, British Colombia

Once an integral part of Toronto’s intimate trick scene, he’s since moved to Vancouver, BC. His great attitude and go-for-it attitude always inspires those around him to push harder.

Charlie Reinagel

Buffalo, New York

Charlie has been repping the YNOT family on the polo courts for years. His freestyle skills are also not to be overlooked but it’s on the court where he shines the brightest. His great attitude and happy vibe make him welcome where ever his travels take him.

Brad Downie

Ontario

Brad is quiet but capable of so much savagery on the bike! He isn’t as well known as some but his skills are unparalleled in many areas. He’s a down to earth homie that loves life and has a lot of fun.

Andrew Romashyna

Toronto, Ontario

Andrew is a homie of YNOT who goes hard in alleycats and at work on the streets as a messenger. He tests out our Pro-series of courier bags, putting them through their paces on the downtown streets of Toronto.

Dew Sippawit

Malaysia

Every second of footage of him is groundbreaking and he seriously rides hard. He’s always pretty smiley in his edits and his riding is insane, don’t dare miss one of his videos!

Seoul Fixed Gear

South Korea

A strong crew of riders out of Seoul, these guys are rad and go hard. See more of their antics here!

Jonah Kessel

California

Q: How did YNOT begin?

A: Established in 2009, founder Tony Mammoliti started experimenting and designing bike gear he felt was lacking in the cycling industry. Initially, a small garage studio was set up in the back alley of Toronto's iconic Croft Street. At local cycling events bike messengers and FGFS riders began getting their hands on YNOT products, and started putting them through their paces. Over time a die-hard DIY crew of like-minded designers were brought together, and the YNOT product line evolved and expanded.

YNOT headquarters are located in a warehouse in the Junction area of Toronto known for its industrious working class and manufacturing history. YNOT now ships to over 40 countries and many retailers. The amazing YNOT Cycle crew (link to crew page) continue to push the company forward, driven by a passion to create unique and functional cycling products for people that use and depend on them every day.

Q: Where are YNOT products manufactured?

A: Every YNOT bag, pedal strap and accessory is handmade in Canada. From design to prototyping to manufacturing to sending them out the door, every stage of our production is done in-house, here in Toronto. We also do our best to source our materials locally when possible. Most of our fabric is milled in Canada or the United States, while much of our hardware is American-made just over the border.

CURRENCY AND PRICING

Q: What currency are YNOT products sold in?

A: All prices are in US Dollars.

Q: Do your prices include tax and duties?

A: GST or HST will be added to orders shipped within CANADA. There are no taxes or duties on orders shipped to the UNITED STATES. For all other countries, duties and/or taxes may be assessed by your government at the border.

ORDERING

Q: What happens after I place my order?

A: Once your order is placed, stock items are shipped within 2-4 business days. Custom YNOT products using the "build your own" feature ship ASAP but because they are built to order, they can take up to 10 business days to ship.

Q: When will my order arrive?

A: Your order should arrive within the timeframe that was specified for the shipping option you selected plus the shipping standard for your item (In stock +2-4 days and custom item +10). If after this time your item has not arrived please add one additional business day and then contact us at info@ynotcycle.com or at the number you received when you placed your order.

RETURNS

Q: What is our return policy?

A: You can return any products you receive from YNOT's website within 30 days of receipt, as long as the item is unused, unwashed, has the original packaging and is otherwise in just-like-new condition. Before sending an item to YNOT for Warranty please contact us at info@ynotcycle.com for details and instructions. You are responsible for all shipping costs unless the item is defective.

Please note all custom items are final sale. They are individually built to order, and cannot be exchanged or returned for refund.

SHIPPING

Q: What are the shipping details?

A: Once you add an item to the shopping cart, select your country and postal code (if applicable) to see a list of shipping options, transit times, and prices. Most orders ship within 2 business days.

WARRANTY

Q: Do YNOT Products come with a warranty?

A: All YNOT Bags come with a LIFETIME WARRANTY to be free of defects in workmanship and materials under normal use. This applies only to the original owner. If your bag requires repair due to what we deem abnormal usage or normal wear and tear, we will contact you for approval before repairing the bag at your cost.

Bags with vinyl or reflective logos are covered by the LIFETIME WARRANTY but to due the nature of the logo material used it can deteriorate over time and the logo itself is not covered under warranty.

Special limited edition fabrics have not gone through our normally extensive testing for durability and as a result, there is no warranty on these materials.

While hardware failure is out of our control and not covered under warranty, under certain circumstances broken hardware can also be replaced. This replacement may come at the cost of the user.

Before sending an item to YNOT for Warranty please contact us at info@ynotcycle.com for details and instructions.

Q: Do you do repairs on other types of bags?

A: Nope.

CLEANING

Q: How do I clean my YNOT bag and/or accessory?

A: CORDURA® OUTER LAYER: The exterior of your bag or accessory can be simply spot cleaned or wiped down with water to get the majority of dirt and grime off. Use a gentle soapy mixture to scrub away any stubborn stains and then rinse thoroughly. The liner can be wiped clean similarly If your bag is extremely dirty, machine wash COLD. Be sure to place it in a mesh delicates bag first to protect straps and hardware. Hang upside down to dry. DO NOT PUT BAG IN THE DRYER.

WAXED CANVAS OUTER LAYER: Spot clean with cold water ONLY. Use soft bristled brush for stubborn stains to gently loosen and brush off dirt. Remember this fabric is a natural fibre, with an applied wax treatment. Eventually after a number of years you may want to retreat your bag. Hang upside down to dry. DO NOT PUT BAG IN THE DRYER.

PEDAL STRAPS

Q: What type of pedals work with YNOT pedals straps?

A: The pedals sold on our site are ideal to use because of the angled slots & overall construction of Wellgo platform pedals. Also, the metal Wellgo track pedals we offer allow for a more classic look, but are still compatible with our straps. There are many other platform pedals that also work with YNOT straps. The openings for the strap to pass through must be at least ¾" wide x ¼" tall. This includes: most BMX/MTB platform pedals, Demolition PC, Animal Hamilton PC, and Shadow Conspiracy Ravager, among others.

Q: How do I install my YNOT pedal straps?

A: It's really easy! You can view an installation diagram here, or installation video here

FIT & SIZING

Q: How do I know what size bag works best for me?

A: Check out our "Compare Bags" to see all of our bags side by side with their individual specifications HERE (link to compare bags feature)

Q: How do I know what shoulder to get my bag made for?

A: Lucky for you, ALL of our messenger bags (Junction, Mongoose, Annex) have a reversible shoulder & stabilizer strap, so don't worry about it! This means you can buy any YNOT messenger bag and choose which strap orientation you prefer. Also for riders who wear their bag all day long, you have the option of switching the strap back and forth on occasion to give your "default" shoulder a break.

The only exception to this is our mini messenger the Bandicoot (link). But you can choose left or right shoulder under the "Build Your Own" feature. Most people are, "left shoulder" single strap bag wearers, which is why it's the standard on this bag. This means the strap will rest on your left shoulder, come across your chest and angle down towards your right hip. If you wear a bag opposite to this, you need a "right shoulder" bag.

CUSTOM WORK/DESIGN

Q: I am looking to have a one-of-a-kind bag created beyond the "Build Your Own" custom bags on the website. Do you do one-off custom design work for individuals?

A: Due to our small team, requests like this are difficult to accommodate. In most cases, small runs of custom product cannot be produced at a price that is fair to you.

Q: Does YNOT do custom work for businesses and organizations?

A: YNOT Cycle has experience working with corporate clients large and small, and on projects with varying levels of complexity; from custom vinyl decals and embroidery, to custom product development. Our clients include Red Bull, AXE, Cervélo, Orontas, Sam James Coffee Bar, and others. Contact info@ynotcycle with any inquiries.

JOBS

Q: Are you hiring?

A: We are always open to talking to talented people that could potentially add to the pool of skills at YNOT so feel free to send us a note at jobs@ynotcycle.com

SPONSORSHIP

Q: Will YNOT sponsor my event?

A: YNOT sponsors many events around the world with product and support. We are however a small company with limited resources. As a result we have to limit the amount of events we sponsor. If you are seeking sponsorship please email us with the details of your event, including how many people you expect to have, and the level of sponsorship you require. Please provide a minimum of 3 weeks notice prior to the event.

Q: Will YNOT sponsor me?

A: Our team is currently full and we are not accepting new members. But hey, we always like watching rad new edits from up and comers.....

Q: Where can I buy your stuff?

A: You can see a full listing of our retailers around the world HERE
